These are very basic, and my first brush set I've made (don't hold me to high standards). However, it contains all 24 Elder Futhark runes, essential for any Ohinnist (Odinnist) to know and use. Elder Futhark runes were the first runes to be used by the Teutonic people (it is false to think they are purely Norse/Scandinavian) and the supposed language of Odhinn/Odin/Wotan's two ravens; Huginn (Knoweledge) and Munnin (Memory). Odhinnists tend to draw power from the Ravens' language and use them to unearth what they believed was information about the world around them Wotan/Odhinn/Odin wished them to know. It was also used to bind ancient messages of their wisdom and knoweledge to further generations of their people.
Odhinnism primarily has to do with drawing wisdom from your ancients, which requires knowing your blood and bloodline. Unfortunately, the language of Wotan's Ravens was faded out and carried to current times by very few who cared to keep the language sacred and alive. Not many Odhinnists, that I know of, exist in practice today.
I do not know if there are any other Odhinnists on dA, I believe I've only met one other. I am also not aware of any Futhark Rune brushes on dA. Perhaps they will come of some use, or even be a guidline to a better version of the set. My next brush set will be the Younger Futhark runes, to accomodate those who feel the use of the younger alphabet to be more of a use to them.
All brushes made by my in PhotoShop. For Photoshop 7.0+
Woah, I never thought I'd see a futhark brush set...awesome. Why is the 360 brush in the demo page blacked out?
Anyhoo, thanks so much for making these! I will credit and fav if I use them.
